Located in Provence, France, with a valley entirely to itself, the Miraval Chateau has a different story to any other winery you’ll likely ever come across. Bought in 1970 by the jazz pianist Jaques Loussier, the Chateau was converted to a recording studio, Le Studio de Miraval.
During this era, the Chateau achieved fame thanks to Pink Floyd, who came there in 1979 to record part of their album The Wall and later hosted other famous artists including The Cure, The Cranberries, AC/DC and the Gypsy Kings.
Already no stranger to the heavy weights of the entertainment industry, the Chateau was then bought by none other than Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who partnered with the Perrin family to manage and produce their wines. What a formidable partnership this would turn out to be.
Bringing their vast experience and passion for winemaking, The Miraval Rose is now recognised as one of the world's best still Rose wines. With a history full of eminent personalities, it is fair to liken their Rose to a Ferrari Daytona or an Aston Martin Vanquish, beautiful to look at, and a little bit flashy. However, it is under the hood where the real magic happens. With the winemaking process undertaken under the watchful eyes of the Perrin family, the result is a rose that is fresh, elegant and all round delicious.
