Ironclad is named in honour of the 19th Century warships characterised by the iron armour bolted onto their wooden hulls, much as iron courses through the veins of the warm clay hillside vineyards.
Man O'War Vineyards is a leading New Zealand wine producer on Waiheke Island in the Hauraki Gulf, around 11 miles (18km) from central Auckland. It is known for its consistently high quality range of wines produced from Chardonnay, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
